Ground Operations Controller – Training & Load Control

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Ground Operations Controller to lead the design, delivery and oversight of ground‑operations training. The role supports station start‑ups, service‑provider changes and ensures safe, secure aircraft handling through effective load‑control coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and deliver ground operations training to Etihad and third‑party personnel, covering manual load control, load control systems, freight applications, electronic forms and centralized load control coordination.
• Develop and keep up‑to‑date below‑wing training content in line with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records for all below‑wing training delivered by Etihad Ground Operations.
• Provide remote and on‑site oversight for station start‑ups and ground‑handling agent changes, ensuring safe, secure and compliant aircraft handling and CLC coordination.
• Report progress and issues to line manager and support Business Solutions Specialist functions for load control systems when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Minimum five years of airline or GHA experience, with at least three years in load control or related ground‑operations functions.
• Strong knowledge of load control principles, aircraft type characteristics and dangerous‑goods handling.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
