Group Director – Infrastructure and Cloud

About the role

The Group Director – Infrastructure and Cloud provides leadership and end‑to‑end operational accountability for Modon’s core technology platforms, including data centre facilities, compute, storage, enterprise network, hybrid and multi‑cloud environments, and the digital workplace. The role translates the Enterprise Technology strategy into an executable roadmap, sets engineering standards, drives automation, and ensures platforms are resilient, secure, and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Enterprise Technology strategy into a costed, sequenced roadmap for infrastructure, cloud, and workplace services.
• Own technical architecture and engineering standards for the platform estate, ensuring designs are resilient, scalable, observable, and secure by design.
• Direct strategy, design, and operation of data centre compute, virtualization, hyper‑converged platforms, and enterprise storage.
• Own enterprise network architecture across LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless, remote access and internet edge.
• Manage hybrid and multi‑cloud estate on Azure and AWS, establishing cloud guardrails and FinOps discipline.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 platform, end‑user computing services, and enterprise identity (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Establish enterprise resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and business continuity support.
• Ensure operational excellence through ITIL‑aligned service management, capacity, performance, and availability management.
• Implement security controls, risk registers, and compliance with regulatory and group policies.
• Own infrastructure, cloud, and workplace budgets and manage strategic vendors and service providers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale infrastructure, cloud, and digital workplace programs.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and drive operational maturity.
• Strong stakeholder management with strategic partners, vendors, and internal teams.
• Deep understanding of governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
