Group Enterprise Architect

About the role

The Group Enterprise Architect will lead the definition and governance of enterprise architecture across a regional banking group and its ADGM‑regulated entity. Reporting to the CIO, the role ensures that technology platforms, data models, integration patterns and security‑by‑design principles are aligned with business strategy, operational resilience and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Group‑wide architecture framework, including principles, standards, patterns and technology direction.
• Define target‑state architecture blueprints that support the Group strategy and ADGM regulatory expectations.
• Establish and run architecture governance processes such as Architecture Review Boards and design authority checkpoints.
• Act as the primary architecture authority for the ADGM bank, guiding technology design, change initiatives and control environments.
• Lead the creation of reference architectures and roadmaps for core banking, payments, digital channels, data platforms, identity/access management, cloud services and third‑party integrations.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost‑effective, resilient and deliverable.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within financial services.
• Proven experience designing and governing architecture for regulated banking entities (FSRA/Category 1).
• Strong understanding of operational resilience, risk appetite and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work closely with senior business and technology leaders.
