Group Finance and Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Group Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a diversified retail group in the UAE. This senior position oversees finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, taxation, treasury and compliance across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Group Finance team, managing performance and development.
• Consolidate financial results of all entities and produce monthly, quarterly and annual statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning for the entire group.
• Implement and monitor robust financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, working capital and banking relationships.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
• Analyse profitability, key performance drivers and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation and cost control in partnership with operations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, statutory requirements and external audit processes.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulators.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling, investment analysis and feasibility studies.
• Optimize ERP systems and finance processes for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
• MBA in Finance is an advantage.
• 10–15 years progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing finance for multiple legal entities in a retail or consumer‑focused organization.
• Strong background in cost management, budgeting, financial planning and business partnering.
