Group Finance and Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Finance and Accounting Manager to lead the finance function of a diversified retail group in the UAE. This senior position oversees finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, taxation, treasury and compliance across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group Finance team, providing mentorship and performance management.
• Consolidate financial results of all entities and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning for each business unit.
• Design and enforce robust financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, working capital and banking relationships.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve operational efficiencies and monitor group‑wide expenditures.
• Analyse profitability, key performance drivers and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation and cost control in partnership with operations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and external audit requirements.
• Maintain relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulators.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling, investment analysis and feasibility studies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
• MBA in Finance is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing finance for multiple legal entities in a retail or consumer‑focused organization.
• Strong background in cost management, budgeting, financial planning and business partnering.
