Group Finance Controller

About the role

A Group Finance Controller is needed in Dubai to lead financial control activities for an industrial organisation, ensuring accurate financial information supports sound business decisions. The role oversees core accounting processes across the group and provides clear financial insight to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee group financial control activities to keep financial records accurate, timely and consistent.
• Review financial results and management information, highlighting key movements and areas needing attention.
• Coordinate period-end close across relevant group entities to deliver reliable reporting.
• Maintain effective accounting controls and clear documentation across finance processes.
• Work with finance colleagues to resolve accounting queries and improve the quality of financial data.
• Prepare and review financial reports that help stakeholders understand business performance.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and ensure reconciliations are completed and reviewed.
• Identify practical improvements to financial reporting processes and control activities.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification is mandatory (ACA, ACCA, CA, etc.).
• Experience in the industrial sector is mandatory.
• Strong experience in financial control, accounting and group reporting.
• Ability to review financial information and spot significant movements or discrepancies.
• Confidence in preparing clear, accurate financial reports for business stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail when managing financial data and accounting records.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of period-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to maintain strong accounting controls and improve finance processes.
