Group Head of Taxation – Dubai

About the role

The Group Head of Taxation will lead a centralized, high‑performing tax function for a multinational group headquartered in Dubai. Reporting to the CFO, this executive will be responsible for the group’s global fiscal footprint, ensuring compliance across the UAE and multiple international jurisdictions while optimizing the overall tax position.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the global tax strategy and operating model, covering UAE corporate tax, cross‑border transfer pricing, and international structuring.
• Establish a rigorous tax governance framework with clear escalation paths, KPI scorecards, and regular reporting to the Board.
• Transform the tax function from an advisor‑dependent model to an insourced Center of Excellence, leveraging external specialists only for highly complex matters.
• Manage permanent establishment risk, thin‑capitalisation issues, and audit defence for the group and its subsidiaries.
• Provide strategic tax advice on M&A, transactions, and deal structuring across all business units.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate tax leadership within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of building and scaling in‑house tax teams.
• Deep knowledge of UAE corporate tax, international tax regulations, and transfer pricing.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with CFOs, CEOs, and board members.
