Group Procurement Director

About the role

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East & Africa is seeking an accomplished Group Procurement Director to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, group‑wide strategic procurement function across its portfolio of operating hotels. This senior leadership role will transform a decentralized purchasing environment into a coordinated, efficient, value‑generating organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a group‑wide procurement strategy, operating model and governance framework, including policies, procedures, approval authorities and compliance standards.
• Identify and capture procurement synergies, economies of scale and consolidation opportunities across multiple properties and geographies, developing category management strategies and group purchasing agreements.
• Lead strategic supplier selection, negotiations, contracting and performance management, establishing long‑term partnerships and regional/international sourcing opportunities.
• Introduce procurement performance indicators, spend analytics, reporting dashboards and savings measurement methodologies, driving digitalisation through e‑procurement platforms.
• Partner with hotel General Managers, Finance Directors and corporate leadership to align procurement initiatives with property‑level requirements and ownership structures.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional experience with significant leadership responsibilities in strategic procurement, sourcing or supply chain management.
• Proven success in designing, establishing and scaling centralized or coordinated procurement functions across large, decentralized, multi‑entity organisations.
• Strong experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, procurement governance and cost optimisation.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, travel retail or other multi‑site service industries; hospitality experience advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are a plus.
