Guest Services Officer – Fitness

About the role

The Guest Services Officer – Fitness will be the first point of contact for guests using the fitness centre at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. You will ensure a welcoming atmosphere, provide information on facilities and services, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests upon arrival, offering a welcoming attitude.
• Provide information about facilities, equipment, services and class schedules.
• Monitor guest activity to ensure safety and proper equipment use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness centre, including towels and locker rooms.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promote fitness services such as personal training and classes.
• Maintain stock of fitness‑related products and assist with membership or day‑pass transactions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to keep the facility properly maintained.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fitness or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and wellness practices.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
