Gym Instructor

About the role

The Gym Instructor is responsible for maintaining the fitness centre at Le Meridien in Dubai, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The role involves routine cleaning, equipment management, guest assistance, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Wipe down machines, remove towels, trash and debris, and keep the recreation area tidy.
• Clean restrooms and showers in the fitness area.
• Maintain supplies such as cups, water, and towels, and distribute lockers and towels to guests.
• Conduct inventory of equipment and report low‑stock items to management.
• Provide guests with information about facilities, promote rules for safety, and assist injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and ensure a professional appearance.
• Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Inspect equipment for defects, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certifications (or any certification required by local authorities).
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
