About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at Andaz Capital Gate Abu Dhabi. The role demands strong leadership, exceptional creativity, and operational excellence to deliver an outstanding dining experience that reflects the hotel’s brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a diverse culinary team, fostering a collaborative and creative kitchen environment.
• Oversee menu creation, ensuring innovative, internationally inspired dishes that are locally relevant.
• Manage kitchen performance, maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency.
• Control food costs through effective budgeting, inventory management, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and sustainable sourcing practices.
• Develop talent through mentoring, training, and performance evaluation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of progressive senior culinary leadership experience in luxury hotels or high‑end concept‑driven restaurants.
• Proven expertise in international cuisine with a talent for contemporary, locally inspired reinterpretations.
• Hands‑on leadership style with strong communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
