About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi seeks an exceptional Head of Arabic to lead both staff and students toward excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Arabic First Language (A) and Arabic Second Language (B) programmes.
• Ensure all students achieve outstanding proficiency, confidence and pride in Arabic.
• Lead the development of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment to raise standards from Good to Outstanding.
• Collaborate with the Head of Islamic Education and other senior leaders to champion Arabic across the whole school.
• Promote Emirati culture, heritage and values while strengthening Arabic use in Arabic‑medium subjects.
