Head of Biofuels Brokerage

About the role

Lead the biofuels brokerage desk, driving client acquisition, trade execution and market insight delivery. You will manage a portfolio of clients, mentor junior brokers and ensure profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand the client portfolio through direct outreach, cold calling and relationship building.
• Generate and maintain a targeted pipeline of leads to support outreach efforts.
• Achieve and exceed P&L targets set for the desk.
• Execute biofuel trades with precision, ensuring smooth transactions.
• Engage clients via calls, online platforms and face‑to‑face meetings to understand their needs.
• Monitor market trends and provide daily pricing updates and insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support the brokers on the desk.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in brokerage or physical trading (biofuels/feedstocks preferred).
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.
• Strong sales and relationship‑building abilities with a results‑driven mindset.
• Experience in team management or mentoring is preferred.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive attitude and passion for market trends.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple tasks and clients.
