Head of CDZ Operations - MEA

About the role

Lead the CDZ Operations for the MEA region, driving business process optimization, quality improvement and productivity while ensuring compliance with global guidelines and KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and redesign existing processes and SOPs, identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Drive projects that enhance productivity, quality, customer service and digital transformation across the region.
• Develop and implement customs quality assurance, root‑cause analysis and AI/automation tools to reduce manual work.
• Manage exposures related to customs, ports, health, handling centres and ensure timely payments and compliance.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, training programs and audit readiness for the CDZ team.
• Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding and business process or finance management.
• Strong strategic orientation with hands‑on execution capability.
• Excellent analytical, results‑driven and change‑management skills.
• Cross‑cultural competence and experience in the African logistics market.
• Proven project and program management expertise.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of freight forwarding processes and customs operations.
• Experience with AI or automation tools for process improvement.
• Ability to design and implement quality assurance and root‑cause analysis programs.
