Head of Corporate Taxes - Finance Department

About the role

The Bank is seeking a senior tax professional to lead its corporate tax compliance and planning functions. This role will ensure alignment with all applicable direct and indirect tax regulations while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret direct and indirect tax laws, providing guidance to senior management.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimise tax liability while ensuring compliance.
• Oversee preparation and filing of VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax returns.
• Monitor tax law changes and adapt the Bank’s processes accordingly.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Engage external tax advisors and manage relationships with auditors and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in direct and indirect taxation within a commercial bank.
• At least 5 years of experience with a Dubai/Sharjah/Abu Dhabi‑based bank or tax advisory firm.
• Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
