Head of Digital Technology

About the role

The Head of Digital Technology will lead the architecture, engineering and technical operations of a multi‑brand, multi‑region digital commerce ecosystem built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, headless storefronts, SAP S/4HANA, OMS and numerous third‑party systems. Reporting to senior business leaders, the role is responsible for technology strategy, platform scalability and delivery of high‑quality digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the digital commerce technology vision, roadmap and budget aligned with business growth and omni‑channel goals.
• Own enterprise architecture across SFCC (SFRA & headless), SAP, OMS, PIM, middleware and mobile platforms, governing standards for APIs, security and performance.
• Lead cross‑functional engineering teams through concept, development, release management and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality and operational excellence.
• Oversee end‑to‑end integrations with SAP S/4HANA, OMS, payment gateways, logistics and analytics platforms, managing data consistency and error handling.
• Define security, performance and compliance posture (PCI‑DSS, GDPR, KSA PDPL, OWASP) and act as escalation point for critical incidents.
• Mentor and grow engineering talent, drive hiring, performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in commerce technology leadership, with at least 5 years focused on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Proven ability to lead large, multi‑region e‑commerce platforms and deliver complex integration projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
