Head of Engineering – AI/ML Document Generation (Remote)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading foundational AI lab to find an experienced Head of Engineering who will lead the development of AI‑generated documents, spreadsheets and slide decks. The role is fully remote, part‑time (5‑20 hours per week) and compensated at $80 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and refine AI‑driven workflows for technical design documents, architecture decision records and system diagrams.
• Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, model evaluation reports and API integration guides.
• Develop data quality test plans, validation procedures and onboarding guides for engineering teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, data engineer or AI/ML practitioner producing technical design, data pipeline or API documentation.
• Proven experience evaluating model outputs, assessing system readiness and communicating trade‑offs to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional craftsmanship in documents, spreadsheets and slide decks with strong written communication.
