Head of Enterprise IT – SAP S/4HANA Transformation

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a senior IT leader to steer a company‑wide SAP S/4HANA transformation covering Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and other group functions. The Head of Enterprise IT will define the strategy, coordinate implementation partners and ensure the new system delivers business value across the airline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA programme across Finance, Procurement, HR and related functions.
• Develop and execute the ERP transformation roadmap aligned with business and digital objectives.
• Establish programme governance, budget controls, risk management and benefits realization.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, HR and Technology stakeholders to design future‑state processes and technology solutions.
• Manage system integrators, consulting partners, vendors and delivery teams through design, build, testing, data migration, cut‑over, deployment and hyper‑care phases.
• Ensure integration between SAP and enterprise applications, operational platforms and third‑party systems.
• Lead business readiness, change management, training and adoption activities.
• Provide executive reporting, steering committee updates and governance oversight.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve processes and ERP outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience leading large‑scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• At least 8 years of SAP programme delivery experience, including a full SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Proven track record delivering Finance, Procurement and HR transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience managing large budgets, external vendors and system integrators.
• Extensive experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders, programme governance and organisational change.
