Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a transformational Finance Director to build and lead a best‑in‑class finance function for a fast‑moving consumer goods business. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive finance modernization through technology, automation and data‑driven decision‑making while supporting growth across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and lead a high‑performing finance team.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership on strategic planning, investment decisions and business expansion.
• Establish robust financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Provide commercial insights via pricing analysis, profitability reviews, costing models and financial modelling.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including ERP optimisation, automation, AI adoption and process improvement.
• Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, policies and compliance.
• Oversee treasury, cash‑flow and working‑capital management and enhance banking relationships.
• Mentor and develop finance talent, fostering a culture of accountability and business partnership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or CA) – essential.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within FMCG.
• Proven track record of building or transforming finance functions.
• Strong expertise across FP&A, commercial finance, financial control, treasury, governance and business partnering.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing costing and investment analysis.
