Head of Finance

About the role

Al Islami Foods is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance function through a stage of growth and transformation. The role blends hands‑on operational work with strategic leadership, allowing you to resolve daily finance matters and shape major business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, business planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Own financial reporting, P&L management and performance analysis, turning numbers into actionable insight.
• Drive profitability, cost optimisation and working capital management.
• Build and maintain strong financial controls, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee VAT, corporate tax, audit and statutory requirements.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the General Manager and leadership team.
• Partner with all functions, challenging and supporting them to deliver results.
• Lead, coach and develop a finance team of 8‑10 professionals.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and ERP effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent.
• 15+ years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong FMCG or manufacturing background.
• Proven track record in P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting and commercial finance.
• Solid experience in financial controls, audit and compliance.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing finance teams.
• Transformation mindset with experience improving processes, systems and ways of working.
• ERP experience required; SAP exposure preferred.
• GCC experience preferred.
