Head of Financial Crime Product

About the role

Capital.com is expanding its global trading platform and is looking for a senior leader to own the strategy and roadmap for its financial crime control products. As Head of Financial Crime Product you will define how onboarding, screening, monitoring and case management solutions are built and delivered, working closely with Operations, Compliance and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Set the product strategy and roadmap for financial crime controls, aligning delivery priorities with engineering capacity.
• Lead and develop a team of Financial Crime Product Owners, ensuring clear ownership and data‑driven decision making.
• Prioritise improvements with cross‑functional stakeholders, translating control requirements into product designs and acceptance criteria.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives, defining evaluation methods, human oversight and post‑deployment monitoring.
• Assess build‑or‑buy options, manage third‑party vendors and evaluate integration, cost and performance.

Required profile

• Significant product management experience in financial crime, regtech or compliance technology, including leadership of product owners.
• Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and case management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven track record of owning roadmaps, writing clear requirements and separating product decisions from technical design.
• Experience delivering automation or machine‑learning solutions in a regulated environment with defined oversight.
