Head Of Forward Deployed Engineering

About the role

We are partnering with an AI company that delivers operational intelligence to governments and large enterprises. The platform unifies fragmented data, enabling better decision‑making in high‑stakes environments. This senior, hands‑on position owns the full lifecycle of customer deployments, from discovery through go‑live, while coaching a growing team of forward‑deployed engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end customer deployments, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Embed with customer teams to translate operational needs into production‑ready software.
• Build focused demos, gather early feedback, and ship full‑stack features quickly.
• Write clear specifications for broader engineering execution.
• Identify capabilities that should become reusable product features.
• Coach junior engineers on scoping, delivery, communication, and technical judgment.
• Collaborate with product, machine‑learning, infrastructure, and full‑stack teams to resolve deployment challenges.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in forward‑deployed engineering, field engineering, or a similar customer‑facing role.
• Strong full‑stack engineering background with proven delivery of production software.
• Confidence working directly with enterprise customers, including on‑site engagements.
• Clear communication, strong ownership, and ability to progress with incomplete or evolving requirements.
• Experience coaching junior engineers while staying actively involved in the codebase.
