About the role

This senior position sits within Neolixgo, the CargoX joint venture operating an autonomous delivery fleet in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for building and maintaining trust with UAE transport regulators as the business moves from pilot to commercial Level 4 operations across multiple emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain proactive contact with ITC, SASC, RTA and other authorities to resolve issues before they escalate.
• Handle operating permits, vehicle registration, route and zone approvals, and compile safety dossiers for every emirate.
• Act as the first point of contact for incidents, complaints or media enquiries directed at government bodies, coordinating with Operations and Legal.
• Monitor regulatory changes (ITC regime, Dubai AV Law, federal traffic law) and prepare the business for upcoming rules.
• Represent the company at government‑facing events such as Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week and DRIFTx.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable tasks for Operations, Safety and Product teams and communicate our operations to regulators.

Required profile

• Established relationships with UAE transport or mobility regulators (ITC, RTA, DMT, MOI or similar).
• Government‑relations experience in a regulated, safety‑sensitive sector.
• Practical knowledge of UAE permit and licensing approval processes.
• Sound judgement under pressure and comfort handling both informal and formal channels.
• Fluent Arabic and English (essential) and a valid UAE driving licence.
• Willingness to travel between emirates.
• Strongly preferred: autonomous‑vehicle or robotaxi regulatory experience and a network that reaches Dubai’s RTA and other emirate authorities.
