Head of Infrastructure

About the role

The Head of Infrastructure will shape strategy, operations and the overall visitor experience for a major mixed‑use district in Abu Dhabi. This senior leadership role focuses on creating vibrant public spaces that attract and retain visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead public‑realm strategy to deliver an exceptional end‑to‑end customer and visitor journey across the district.
• Drive placemaking initiatives that enhance attractiveness, accessibility, functionality and activation of parks, promenades, plazas and waterfronts.
• Oversee district‑wide operations including infrastructure, maintenance, utilities, landscaping, waste management and service delivery.
• Balance customer experience, commercial objectives, operational efficiency and cost management.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors while managing significant operational budgets.
• Champion smart technologies and innovative solutions to improve visitor experience and operational performance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in destination management, public realm, placemaking or large‑scale community management.
• Proven track record of improving visitor experience through measurable initiatives and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Strong operational understanding of public infrastructure, civil works, MEP, utilities and maintenance.
• Experience managing large portfolios, budgets, multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
• Strategic, commercially aware and passionate about creating vibrant, accessible public spaces.
