Project Control Manager

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Project Control Manager to lead project monitoring and control functions for its Sharjah operations. The role involves developing systems, guiding planning teams, and ensuring schedule adherence across complex oil and gas EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project control procedures and monitoring systems from project onset.
• Determine staffing requirements and allocate resources across project phases.
• Lead the planning team to maintain project schedules (levels 1‑4) and reporting systems.
• Prepare progress measurement tools such as manpower histograms and S‑curves.
• Monitor work progress, produce weekly/monthly reports, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Coordinate internal reviews and client approvals of schedules and reporting systems.
• Maintain field project control documents, including construction schedules and resource histograms.
• Conduct diagnostic studies and schedule risk analysis, recommending mitigation actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities for the project control system.

Required profile

• Graduate engineer with approximately 20 years of experience in the oil and gas EPC industry.
• Proven experience in head‑office and site planning.
