Head of IP

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Head of IP to lead the design and implementation of commercial and pricing strategies in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, setting competitive pricing, and supporting the business’s financial and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute commercial/pricing strategy, including planning, initiatives, tools, and budgets.
• Ensure high‑quality proposal development and commercial pricing programs.
• Support pricing strategies for a portfolio of products across targeted market segments.
• Develop competitive pricing proposals and manage annual pricing reviews.
• Create and maintain pricing models, tools, systems, and processes for value‑driven decision making.
• Oversee price‑setting, analysis, and review processes to meet quality standards and internal controls.
• Lead profitability and rate analysis for existing and potential business, delivering management reports.
• Provide expert advice on commercial/pricing decisions and ensure proper documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Analyze market data to interpret competitive landscape and identify target positioning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial or pricing strategy within a logistics or freight environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities to assess profitability and market trends.
• Ability to develop and implement pricing tools and processes.
• Leadership skills to guide cross‑functional teams and influence decision making.
