Head of IS Risk Management

About the role

The Head of IS Risk Management will lead the information security risk function for ADIB Group, ensuring that risks to confidentiality, integrity and availability of assets are identified, assessed and treated. The role reports to senior management and works closely with IS Governance, IT, BCM and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise cybersecurity risk assessments across business services, processes and technologies.
• Review threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing reports to identify and prioritize risk scenarios.
• Oversee risk monitoring plans, mitigation controls and the implementation of automated risk‑management tools.
• Produce management reports on the Group’s risk posture and key performance indicators.
• Lead information‑security projects, vendor risk reviews and the development of threat‑modelling processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of banking and financial services processes and information‑security technologies.
• Experience in the financial sector with supervisory and business acumen.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CRISC are strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field; master’s degree preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with GRC tools and risk‑management platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NESA, SWIFT CSP, PCI DSS and related security standards.
• Ability to develop and maintain risk dashboards, threat‑modelling processes and remediation plans.
