Head of IT Infrastructure & Support

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a senior leader to oversee the design, delivery and ongoing operation of its enterprise IT infrastructure in Dubai. The role combines strategic governance with hands‑on management of a broad technology portfolio, ensuring stability, security and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead service delivery across compute, virtualization, cloud, storage, databases, identity, and security domains.
• Manage VMware, Nutanix and Microsoft Azure environments, ensuring SLA/KPI compliance.
• Oversee Windows and UNIX/Linux platforms, including lifecycle, patching and compliance.
• Direct storage, backup, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity operations.
• Govern enterprise database platforms such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Supervise Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Microsoft 365 and Citrix VDI services.
• Coordinate major incident, problem and change management processes.
• Drive capacity planning, vulnerability management and risk mitigation.
• Manage vendor relationships, performance and escalations.
• Promote automation, standardisation and continuous service improvement while mentoring the infrastructure team.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, technology operations or service delivery.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technology domains and large operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM practices and incident/problem management.
• Excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills.
• Experience in large‑scale or hybrid enterprise environments.
