About the role

The Head of Legal Affairs / General Counsel will lead the legal function, providing strategic advice and ensuring compliance across procurement, contracting and commercial activities. Reporting to executive management, this senior leader will safeguard the organization against legal and commercial risks while driving best‑in‑class contract governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee legal support for procurement, contracting, and commercial operations.
• Provide strategic legal advice to executive management on contractual, procurement, and regulatory matters.
• Review, negotiate, and approve high‑value and complex contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable procurement regulations, governance requirements, and internal policies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks arising from procurement and contracting activities.
• Manage contractual disputes, claims, and related legal proceedings.
• Develop and maintain legal frameworks, policies, and contract‑management standards.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the internal legal team and manage relationships with external legal advisors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate law, procurement, and contract management.
• Proven track record of advising senior executives on complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and risk‑assessment skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with commercial and operational teams.
