Head of Logistics (3PL)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Head of Logistics to lead end‑to‑end logistics and distribution centre operations for a leading FMCG/Retail business in the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end operations of distribution centres and logistics functions, ensuring high service levels, efficiency and operational discipline.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with business growth and customer requirements.
• Oversee warehouse activities including order fulfilment, picking, packing, dispatch, receiving and inventory management.
• Manage transportation and distribution to guarantee timely, cost‑effective deliveries.
• Drive warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilisation and process optimisation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, productivity, delivery performance and cost per case.
• Lead continuous improvement, automation, WMS optimisation and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, food safety, quality, regulatory and company standards.
• Control operating budgets, logistics costs, manpower planning and capital expenditure.
• Build, coach and lead high‑performing, multicultural logistics and warehouse teams.
• Partner with Sales, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, IT and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify operational risks and implement robust contingency and business continuity plans.

Required profile

• 14+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution or supply chain, preferably within FMCG, retail or high‑volume consumer businesses.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale distribution centres and multi‑site operations.
• Strong experience in warehouse and transportation optimisation, cost reduction and service‑level improvement.
• Experience with WMS/ERP systems, warehouse automation, inventory control and data‑driven operational management.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multicultural teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field; professional qualification a plus.
