Head of Microgreens, Flower & Lettuce

About the role

The Head of Microgreens, Flower & Lettuce leads the end‑to‑end cultivation of microgreens, edible flowers and lettuce within Xantory’s container‑based Indoor Farming Systems in Dubai. The role ensures optimal yields, product quality and compliance with food‑safety standards while coordinating closely with engineering, sales and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete crop line from seeding to harvest, plan cycles to meet customer demand and inspect crops daily for health and readiness.
• Supervise seeding, harvesting and post‑harvest handling, troubleshoot cultivation issues and adjust growing conditions with technical support.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, yield and wastage, and report performance to the Head of Indoor Farming.
• Lead, train and schedule farm staff, monitor task completion and ensure high work quality.
• Collaborate with engineering and automation teams to refine environmental controls and production processes.

Required profile

• Experience in controlled‑environment agriculture, hydroponics or vertical farming, especially with leafy greens, microgreens and specialty crops.
• Strong leadership background managing farm or production teams and implementing process improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture, horticulture, plant science, agronomy or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to analyze operational data, prioritize multiple tasks and communicate clearly across functions.
