Head of MLC GCCNA

About the role

AIG is looking for a Head of MLC GCCNA to lead its Commercial Management Liability and Crime portfolio across the GCCNA region. The role brings a strategic and collaborative approach to product rollout, technical underwriting support and broker partnership engagement, with a focus on ease of trade and operational efficiency. Team members are expected to be primarily in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the portfolio and drive profitable, sustainable growth, assessing performance and adjusting where needed
• Support the rollout of new products, wording, facilities, quote pads and bulletins across GCCNA
• Provide technical training to underwriters and act as a referral point on pricing, wording, coverage, exposure analysis and guidelines
• Prepare and support the Head of FL in analysing referrals before submission to the Program Team
• Coordinate strategic initiatives with main broker partners and develop strategies for ease of trade
• Underwrite risks within authority using risk assessment, loss control, claims history and risk logging tools
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, audit, regulatory and compliance requirements, and internal SLAs
• Build relationships with brokers and clients across territories
• Manage expenses within budget and reduce the expense ratio

Required profile

• Degree in business, economics, insurance or marketing, or an insurance qualification; finance degrees are a plus
• Financial Lines experience, specifically Management Liability and Crime underwriting (Commercial D&O, POSI, Commercial Crime, EPL, etc.)
• Experience in the Middle East, Africa and European markets is a plus
