Head of MOE Arabic Department

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Head of MOE Arabic Subjects to lead the Arabic department across its network of schools in the United Arab Emirates, starting August 2027. The role will shape curriculum, drive innovative learning experiences and support the UAE government’s educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the school’s strategic direction, attend Executive Leadership Team meetings and analyse school data to inform policies.
• Develop and implement Arabic department policies, short‑, medium‑ and long‑term plans, and ensure appropriate schemes of work for Years 5‑13, including SEN, G&T and EAL provisions.
• Create a vision for innovative Arabic learning, ensure curriculum continuity, set clear teaching standards and evaluate teaching quality.
• Lead performance management of the Arabic First and Second Language team, conduct faculty meetings and foster collaborative relationships.
• Organise International Benchmark Assessments, analyse data, and deliver high‑quality interventions for all student groups.
• Promote UAE culture across the curriculum and lead cultural events such as Ramadan celebrations.
• Manage department budget, staff deployment and resources to maximise effectiveness.
• Provide targeted support to Emirati students in Arabic literacy and serve as a tutor for Years 5‑9.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification; Master’s in Arabic Language or education preferred.
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience, with desirable leadership experience.
