Head of MOE Curriculum

About the role

The Head of MOE Curriculum will lead the strategic oversight, implementation and continuous improvement of the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum across the school. Reporting to the Principal and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, the role ensures high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment that meet MoE, KHDA and school improvement plan standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver the MOE curriculum for all year groups, ensuring compliance with UAE MoE requirements and integration of UAE heritage, culture and values.
• Monitor teaching quality and student outcomes, using data to drive interventions and school‑wide improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and heads of department to align MOE curriculum goals with the British or international curriculum where applicable.
• Lead, mentor and support teachers, promoting effective differentiation for Students of Determination and ELL learners.
• Ensure curriculum sequencing, progression and assessment practices meet MoE and KHDA standards, developing resources, schemes of work and assessment frameworks.
• Oversee student progress, attainment and assessment data, providing timely reporting to SLT, governors and parents in line with KHDA SEF and SIP priorities.
• Promote inclusive practices, social‑emotional development and wellbeing through curriculum delivery.
• Engage with the wider school community, parents and external partners to support curriculum initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in curriculum leadership within UAE schools or comparable international settings.
• Deep knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, KHDA regulations and school improvement processes.
• Proven track record of leading and developing teaching teams, including experience with Students of Determination and ELL learners.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive evidence‑based improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
