About the role
The Professional Head – Network Operations (OCC) is responsible for building and leading the company’s network operations function across the 303 km UAE‑Oman rail corridor. Reporting to senior management, this role defines the operational philosophy, procedures and safety framework required to run the network safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and mobilisation of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) organisation.
- Define and maintain network operating procedures, timetable management arrangements and incident management framework.
- Oversee train control, ETCS Level 2 operational principles, rule‑book development and degraded‑operations handling.
- Plan possession windows, manage network performance and contribute to the company’s Operations Safety Case.
- Support testing & commissioning, trial operations and operational readiness activities as defined in the Operational Readiness Plan.
Required profile
- Proven experience in leading large‑scale network operations, preferably in rail or similar transport infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of safety case development and regulatory authorisation processes.
- Ability to work across cross‑functional teams and drive operational excellence.
