Head of Operational Strategy

About the role

Capital.com is a leading trading platform expanding globally and seeking a Head of Operational Strategy to shape the future of Operations with AI and automation at its core.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver the AI strategy for Operations, identifying automation opportunities, building business cases and leading implementation with cross‑functional teams.
• Define and manage the improvement roadmap, capacity planning, workforce forecasting and first‑line operational controls.
• Lead cross‑functional process redesign, prioritize high‑value automation, and oversee the operational improvement portfolio.
• Measure benefits, establish baselines and present recommendations to the COO and senior leaders.

Required profile

• Significant experience in operational strategy, transformation or operational excellence within financial services, fintech or a regulated high‑volume environment.
• Proven record of setting and delivering AI or automation strategies end‑to‑end, with measurable results.
• Experience building and leading teams of operations managers, analysts or improvement specialists.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to create credible baselines, measure benefits and influence senior leadership.

Required skills

• Lean, Six Sigma or similar process‑improvement methodologies.
• Experience with AI/automation tools such as RPA platforms, LLM tools or workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Jira or similar data‑visualisation and project‑management tools.
