Head of Retail – Product, Technology & Transformation

About the role

Our client seeks a senior leader to own the product, technology and transformation agenda across its retail business, connecting physical stores, digital commerce, data and customer experience into a seamless omnichannel offering.

Key responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy and multi‑year roadmap for the retail product portfolio, translating business goals into clear product priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Own the technology and product agenda for store operations, driving productivity, operational efficiency and POS platform migration.
• Connect physical stores and ecommerce to enable real‑time inventory visibility, ship‑from‑store, endless aisle and cross‑channel fulfilment.
• Lead the retail intelligence and AI agenda, prioritising data products, predictive analytics and intelligent store operations.
• Drive the transformation programme across technology, process and operating model, managing governance, value tracking and change adoption.
• Lead and develop a 50+ person organisation across Dubai and Bangalore, overseeing senior pillar leaders, headcount planning and budget.

Required profile

• 15‑20+ years of experience in retail, ecommerce or commerce technology, with a proven record of leading large product or digital organisations.
• Strong background in physical retail operations, POS platforms and omnichannel solutions.
• Experience delivering major digital or business transformation programmes and platform migrations.
• Commercial and financial leadership capability, with experience in complex matrixed organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MBA or master’s preferred.
• Prior experience in the Middle East or with multi‑brand retail groups is an advantage.
