About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Head of Science to lead the Science department at GEMS Metropole School in Dubai. This senior position offers the opportunity to shape the curriculum and drive excellence across GCSE and A‑Level programmes in an international school environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement effective teaching practices within classrooms and across the department.
- Oversee delivery of the National Curriculum for England, including GCSE and A‑Level courses.
- Coordinate extracurricular science activities and events.
Required profile
- Certified teaching qualification with exceptional subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level (or equivalent) curricula.
- Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
- Significant experience with the National Curriculum for England.
- B.Ed. or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject plus PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
- Willingness to commit to extracurricular activities.
