Head of Sport at Yasmina British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Head of Sport for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting April 2027. The role leads the sports department, drives strategic development, and ensures high standards of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department policies, strategic plans and curricula aligned with the school’s vision.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create action plans for support.
• Oversee curriculum coverage, progression and assessment for all students, including SEN, G&T and EAL.
• Lead, manage and performance‑manage staff, holding regular meetings and fostering collaboration.
• Manage department resources, budgets and health‑and‑safety compliance.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and lead after‑school activities such as Model United Nations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and certification in Educational Leadership.
• Minimum five years of secondary‑school administrative experience in an international school, preferably as Assistant/Associate Principal or Head of Division.
• Proven track record in curriculum development, instructional strategies and standards‑based assessment.
• Knowledge of I/GCSE, IB programmes and UAE Ministry of Education regulations.
