Head of SMB MENAT/SSA for AWS EMEA

About the role

Amazon is looking for an exceptional leader to drive AWS’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment across the MENAT and Sub‑Saharan Africa regions. The role will head a high‑performing team of sellers, accelerate cloud adoption among SMB customers, and shape go‑to‑market strategies in one of AWS’s most strategic markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive SMB growth strategies, driving revenue and customer acquisition through data‑driven decisions.
• Build and scale a partner‑led SMB business model, establishing relationships with ISVs, system integrators and resellers.
• Champion customer success by implementing scalable engagement models and focusing on emerging technologies such as GenAI, data analytics and migration solutions.
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership and continuous learning.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Solutions Architecture and regional leadership to optimize customer outcomes and align segment priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM, business or related field; MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in people management, leading and growing high‑performing sales teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in technology‑related business development or sales.
