Head of Year EYFS

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Head of Year EYFS for Yasmina British Academy, commencing the academic year 2027/2028. The role leads the EYFS phase, driving high‑quality teaching, learning and pastoral care in line with the Academy’s values of excellence, respect, passion, collaboration and creativity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the EYFS vision, setting high expectations for standards, teaching quality and pupil achievement.
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve curriculum delivery, assessment, inclusive education and pastoral care across the phase.
• Inspire and empower staff and students, fostering a culture where “Everyone a Leader”.
• Contribute to the School Development Plan, CPD programmes and whole‑school strategic initiatives.
• Oversee recruitment, manage large stakeholder groups and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with PGCE or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience and at least 1 year in a middle‑leadership role with a proven record of improving standards.
• Strong commitment to the school’s vision, values and the wellbeing of all stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, change‑leadership and problem‑solving abilities.

• Proven track record in effective recruitment and staff development.
