Head Sommelier (Lebanese)

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE’s first integrated resort, is seeking a Head Sommelier of Lebanese nationality to lead its wine program. The role combines luxury service excellence with strategic wine list development for a world‑class hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sommelier team, upholding Wynn values, wine standards, and service excellence.
• Act as a brand ambassador, building relationships with guests, members, and partners.
• Collaborate with the Administrative Wine Team and Membership Team on sales initiatives and business growth.
• Develop and maintain the wine list, ensuring staff knowledge and compliance with luxury service and safety standards.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and personalized experiences for guests and members.
• Plan and conduct wine tastings, educational seminars, training sessions, and pre‑shift briefings.
• Continuously enhance personal wine expertise and support operational excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 21 years, meeting local alcohol service regulations.
• 3‑5 years of sommelier experience in a luxury hotel, fine‑dining restaurant, or integrated resort.
• Certified Sommelier qualification (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, vintages, food pairing, and service techniques.
• Proven experience in wine list development, cellar management, and inventory control.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team‑development abilities.
• Fluent in English and proficient with POS systems; flexible schedule.
