Headmaster / Principal for Premium British Curriculum School

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished and inspirational Headmaster / Principal to lead a premium British curriculum school in the UAE. This senior leadership role will drive academic excellence, safeguarding, and strong community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the school.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, attainment and student progress.
• Lead the development and delivery of a rigorous British curriculum.
• Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, pastoral care and student wellbeing.
• Oversee school improvement, regulatory readiness and external inspections.
• Develop strong relationships with parents, staff, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Governing Board on strategy, performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage school operations, resources and budgets while focusing on educational quality.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in a British curriculum school in the UAE.
• Deep knowledge of the National Curriculum for England, including EYFS, Primary, IGCSE and A Level.
• Proven track record of successful school inspections and measurable improvement.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) and leadership qualification (e.g., NPQH).
• Eligibility for ADEK licensing and UAE educational leadership licence.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
