Health & Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Health & Safety Coordinator will lead HSE programs at Gulf Cement's manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards while reducing accidents and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain plant HSE policies, conduct inspections, audits and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, near‑misses and incidents, produce root‑cause reports and track corrective measures.
• Manage contractor safety inductions, monitor compliance and review risk assessments.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, emergency response training and maintain training records.
• Support environmental monitoring, waste management and dust control initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3‑5 years HSE experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, First Aid/CPR and fire‑fighting training.
