Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to oversee safety and environmental management across all AL TAIF workshops, warehouses and office areas in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and document safety and environmental management systems across all sites.
• Review inspection data, identify non‑compliance trends and manage closure of findings.
• Advise management and supervisors on integrating HSE protocols into operational workflows.
• Administer the approved Risk Framework and keep the Risk Register up to date.
• Develop and deliver training programs for risk assessments, JHAs and environmental impact evaluations.
• Prepare performance reports, strategic recommendations and data summaries for senior leadership.
• Manage internal HSE training curriculum, schedules and records for employees and contractors.
• Oversee waste management documentation and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all HSE records and sensitive company information.
• Provide technical mentorship and administrative support to the HSE team.
• Perform other duties as required by line or department managers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in an HSE role.
• Experience with industrial safety programs and ability to monitor HSE trends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email correspondence.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ability to identify safety and environmental deficiencies.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage multiple administrative projects.
• Valid UAE driver’s license.
