Health, Safety & Environment Technician

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Technician will support AL TAIF’s workshops, warehouses and offices in Abu Dhabi, ensuring that safety and environmental standards are consistently met. This role involves inspecting work areas, advising staff on HSE protocols, and delivering internal training.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and environmental protocols across all AL TAIF facilities.
• Inspect work areas for hazards, report findings to supervisors, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise employees, supervisors and managers on proper HSE procedures.
• Train staff on risk assessments, job hazard analyses and environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare inspection reports and recommendations.
• Conduct internal HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, transport and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste in line with UAE regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and support the broader HSE team.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in an HSE role.
• Exposure to industrial safety programs is advantageous.
• Ability to monitor and analyse HSE trends.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and ability to apply them.
• Independent work style with reliable attendance.
