Health & Safety Officer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Health & Safety Officer will support the Manager, Health and Safety in creating a safe environment for staff, patients, contractors and visitors at Amana Healthcare’s facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk control, compliance monitoring and the delivery of training and emergency drills.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) across all assets.
• Unify OSHMS policies and procedures to ensure consistency throughout the organization.
• Monitor compliance with federal and local occupational health and safety laws, regulations and permits.
• Conduct regular safety audits, drills and inspections to identify hazards and verify control measures.
• Provide training, education and support to staff, contractors and visitors on safety procedures.
• Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in environmental health or occupational safety and health.
• NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety certification.
• Preferably registered with Qudorat – Abu Dhabi.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.

Required skills

• Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) implementation.
• Knowledge of federal and local occupational health and safety legislation.
• Environmental health and health safety expertise.
