Health & Safety Officer (Emiratized) – Up to 12,000 AED

About the role

The Health & Safety Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of HSE policies across all operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. The role is focused on preventing accidents, injuries and environmental incidents while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain company HSE policies, procedures and safety programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and hazard identification.
• Perform daily site inspections and safety audits, reporting unsafe conditions and ensuring corrective actions are closed.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and training on safe work practices, PPE use and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Assist in creating and testing emergency response plans and organise drills.
• Inspect PPE, tools, machinery and safety signage to ensure proper use and compliance.
• Monitor waste disposal, spill prevention and environmental controls where applicable.
• Prepare regular HSE reports and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant HSE experience.
• Familiarity with local UAE HSE laws and international standards such as OSHA and ISO 45001.
