Healthcare Data Governance Subject Matter Expert

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Subject Matter Expert to lead data governance, data quality and data readiness initiatives for Abu Dhabi healthcare entities. The role will be onsite and will work closely with clinical, operational and technical teams to ensure accurate and compliant healthcare data.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a healthcare business glossary, data definitions and semantic relationships.
• Lead identification, prioritisation and management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Establish and enforce business‑driven data accuracy, consistency and completeness rules.
• Validate reference data, registers and authoritative sources, ensuring privacy, classification and anonymisation compliance.
• Review and validate healthcare KPIs, metrics and reporting definitions.
• Assess business impact of data quality issues and develop remediation plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, clinical, operational and technical domains.
• Mentor analysts on healthcare domain knowledge and data interpretation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Healthcare Data, Clinical Informatics, Health Information Management or Healthcare Analytics.
• Hands‑on experience with clinical and administrative healthcare datasets.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare standards such as ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC and DRG.
• Experience with data definitions, glossaries, data dictionaries, CDEs and data quality frameworks.
• Understanding of healthcare privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
