Healthcare Manager – Commissioning & Licensing

About the role

We are seeking a Healthcare Manager to lead commissioning and licensing activities for a high‑profile hospital project on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. The role involves translating technical insights into actionable recommendations for executives, doctors, and operators, ensuring the facility meets all regulatory and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full construction lifecycle from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, contractors, medical planners and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) licensing requirements and other local approvals.
• Manage project governance, risk, quality assurance and change control processes.
• Provide regular updates on budgets, schedules and cash flow to senior stakeholders.
• Lead QC commissioning, testing and validation of MEP, medical equipment, IT and life‑safety systems.

Required profile

• Solid experience in healthcare commissioning and licensing, preferably within Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of DOH regulations and non‑DOH approvals.
• Arabic speaking background with western education is a strong plus.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to executive and clinical audiences.
• Minimum of 1 month relevant experience; senior‑level expertise preferred.
